MY COLLECTION – MINDSCAPE BY DESIGN

Tectonic Collection is where I embrace boldness, depth, and texture. This medium allows for dynamic layering and rich color saturation, making it perfect for both vigorous Abstracts and vibrant Portraits. From the thick impasto strokes that give a landscape dimension to the crisp lines of contemporary figures, these works showcase the raw power and versatile expression that only acrylics can provide.

Ignition Point - Latest Tectonic Mindscape

Ignition Point captures the precise, volatile moment where raw impulse breaks free into consciousness. Built upon a heavy, dark-textured impasto foundation, the canvas holds the weight of structural tension and unseen turmoil. Out of this dark stillness comes an eruption—fiery crimson, deep amber, and brilliant red splatters cut through the surface, marking the exact instant energy turns into motion.

At its core, the piece reflects the universal human condition: the quiet, unseen accumulation of thought, pressure, and emotion that precedes every meaningful transformation. Creation rarely begins in complete clarity; it originates in dense, chaotic depths. The dark, sculpted under layers embody the heavy architecture of our internal landscape—the unresolved tensions, quiet persistence, and subterranean forces we carry. The sudden, vivid eruption of color represents the awakening—the spark where dormant potential refuses containment and shatters the status quo. Ignition Point stands as a meditation on the beauty of necessary upheaval, reminding us that clarity is not the absence of chaos, but the light born directly from it.

Tectonic Impressions — IGNIS

A four-panel mindscape exploring the journey from Chaos to Order. Using my signature Layers of Impulse technique, each panel begins with tectonic ridges carved directly into unthinned paint — pure structure. Because, a sudden release of raw energy is introduced, then gradually organized through focused layering into balanced harmony. Seen together, the four panels read as one continuous transformation from impulse to order.

  • Panels: 4 (Ignis 1–4)
  • Series: tectonic Impressions
  • Size: 18″(h) x 8″ (w) x 4

Vertical Drift Dawn - a mindscape that evoled out the cocept that we are turning the world upside down

Vertical Drift: Dawn

A mindscape where gravity loses its grip — a diptych exploring a landscape in rebellion, where the earth itself is pulled upward into the sky, turning the traditional horizon upside down. Heavy body acrylics were sculpted thickly with a palette knife into rugged, ascending terrain, the textured ridges catching the shifting light of early morning as they rush skyward. Fluid acrylic inks add high-energy splatters across a deep cobalt background, capturing fragments of earth caught mid-ascent across a fractured threshold.

  • Medium: Heavy acrylic, palette knife, and acrylic inks on paper
  • Size: A4 per panel (2 panels)
  • Format: Original diptych – A – Tectonic Mindscape
  • Price: Available on request
Every piece starts with controlled chaos — a flood of raw, fluid energy on the canvas before structure begins to reveal itself. This piece explores internal pressure, resilience, and the slow crystallization of order out of a fiery, chaotic mindscape. A view from the subterranean hearth.

Built from a race against time and a bit of chemical alchemy — metallic acrylics laid down first, then a quick spray of water followed by acrylic ink injected by syringe before it could dry. Too much water and the piece would have been ruined; instead, the interaction carved out a striking, chaotic depth with a hidden energy at its center. Can you find the monster in the midst? Whether in the sky, the earth, or the deepest water, feeling never truly stops — it only changes form. The sky fractures and weeps, while the dense ground below absorbs and bleeds it back through an open wound of light. Built from controlled chaos, this piece explores the transition from chaos to order within a turbulent mental landscape. Utilizing my signature Layers of Impulse technique, rich impasto ridges are sculpted directly onto the canvas, capturing a dynamic mindscape where opposing natural forces meet and unify.

A pure acrylic study built entirely wet-on-wet, where gravity and chemistry did the final storytelling. A rugged mountain ridge was sculpted at the base with a palette knife, using a hand-mixed Prussian blue and violet in place of tube-black for a deeper, more vibrant tone. Above it, a gradient of Prussian blue, ultramarine, cobalt, and titanium white was blended directly on the canvas. Water and a tilt of the canvas sent the pigment bleeding upward against gravity, and a final mist of alcohol triggered a surface-tension reaction — leaving a delicate, cell-like network shimmering across the surface. From controlled chaos to fluid, atmospheric order.

A heavy crimson terrain built with thick, unthinned paint and tectonic palette-knife strokes — representing the dense, fractured layers of experience we all carry. Rising from that ground is a structured form reaching into open sky: an anchor point, and a reminder of our ability to find clarity and quiet strength within the storm.

Light only becomes prominent where darkness is present — both are needed to complete a painting, as in the world. Built from a heavy tectonic foundation carved with a palette knife, rising into a fluid central updraft mapped in acrylic ink, then framed with thinned black shadow to bring the whole composition into order. From darkness to light.

Born entirely from leftover paint — rich crimson, deep burgundy, and black remaining on the palette after a previous session, refused to go to waste. Instinct took over on heavily textured paper with no sketch or forced direction: raw fluid flows, orbital splatters, and high-energy movement pulled straight out of the chaos. Honest energy from a piece never meant to exist.

Created during an experimental phase in 2020-2021 and once set aside as too raw, this piece has found new appreciation with time and distance. Vibrant fluorescent orange and red streaks, applied dynamically with a plastic card, sweep across a moody backdrop of deep blues and rich purples — representing a flow of "in and out," connecting internal and external space. An untamed, spontaneous moment rediscovered.
